Happy 4th of July/Official Mustache Day

Getting excited...and a little overwhelmed!

This week is going to be crazy! We have our walk thru tomorrow, closing on Thursday, and then we leave for Cleveland on Friday for our friends wedding. This Memorial Day weekend has been full of packing, which Matt has done the majority of, while I find ways of procrastinating (like blogging). Anyway, we are really excited, nervous, scared, stressed and happy. We will definitely keep you posted on all the details!

Warming Up!!!

Nothing too interesting to report on, except that we are super pumped that spring is finally here!!! I went to my friend Miranda's Bachelorette party last weekend in Lawrence on Mass street, which was a little too much fun! Also, our house is slowly making progress. We are slated to close June 1st, but we are hoping it will be a few days earlier! We don't have too much planned for May, which is good because Matt has a ton of tests and will finally be done with his first year! Hope everyone is doing well!

Cabin Fever!

When is winter going to be over? We are all kind of going insane, especially our poor dog, who hasn't had a consistent walk schedule in months! She is such a creature of habit that she goes nuts when she gets off schedule!
At least we have a new house to look forward to moving into in May. Yes, we are buying our first little house! It is in Lenexa, Kansas (which to you west coasters, is the OC of the Kansas City area) and is really close to a lot of our friends and Lawrence, KS. It is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 car garage little slab house (with an awesome kitchen). We will also be getting a fence so that Missy can go CRAZY and run her trademark "laps" outside.
Hopefully the next time you all will be hearing from us it will be sunny and somewhat warm!!!

KU Pep Rally

Too much fun!!!! KU had a huge pep rally for the biggest game in KU's history that takes place today against Mizzou. It was freezing but luckily our favorite 80's/90's coverband, Sellout, was playing so we literally danced the night away and were sweating by the end.


A bunch of our friends were there including Brian Luke and Jon Lamb (to the left). Brian got interviewed eariler in the night because back in the day he was the starting QB, Matt loves to tease him as shown in the next picture.
It was so much fun and we are super pumped up for the big game tonight!!!! Number 1 here we come!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and that you are looking forward to an awesome football game tomorrow!!!! We had a fantastic Thanksgiving at our friends, Danny and Laura's house. Matt took a picture of the apple pie I made and I wanted to include it to make my mother proud. All of the food was excellent!
I also wanted to include a picture of Matt decorating our tree a few days ago to make his mother proud. He is quite the tree trimmer! The ornament that he is holding up is of a pickle, pretty silly!
I am sure we will update you shortly on all the other events going on this weekend!

The Quickest Weekend Ever

We had such a fun weekend last week! Tom, Tracey, Marin and my Mom (Grandma Mac) were all up here for my birthday and homecoming weekend in Lawrence. What a great win against Nebraska! I want to thank them all again for such a great time!! It was so quiet when everyone left and not in a good way. Anyway, here are some pictures from the fantastic weekend. Rock Chalk Jayhawk!
